What is Organization for Black Struggle?
OBS is a St. Louis organization whose mission is to build a movement that fights for political empowerment, economic justice and the cultural dignity of the African-American community, especially the Black working class.
Over the years OBS has been involved in an extraordinary number of local, national and international movements, campaigns and initiatives including (but not limited to): the Anti-Apartheid Movement, African Liberation Day Celebrations, the Black Political Assembly, Justice for Frances Beasley, Atlanta Missing and Murdered Children’s Committee, St. Louis Black United Front, National Campaign Against Racist Genocide, Wrightsville March Against the Klan, Ellen Reasonover Support Committee, the Black Radical Congress, Freeman Bosley for Mayor Campaign, National Black United Front, Show Me $15 Campaign, Coalition Against Police Crime and Repression (CAPCR), the Don’t Shoot Coalition, to name a few.

Become a member. By becoming a member with OBS, you will be joining an organization with nearly four decades on the battlefront for justice and racial equality. You will be part of an organization that has a respected history locally and nationally. You will work with others committed to making transformative change for our community. Members support OBS by carrying out committee work, participating in membership meetings and events, supporting fundraisers, attending programs, and providing recurring monetary donation.
